"Tides of Metal" is a compelling exploration of the relationship between nature and industry. Inspired by her upbringing in Stewart, British Columbia—a coastal mining town—and her experiences on the water along the Portland Canal, Brooklyn juxtaposes oceanic forms with industrial materials like nails and nuts. Combining her knowledge of wax carving and metalsmithing, Brooklyn creates intricate, wearable art, that evokes the movement of water and the life beneath its surface.
